Along with the team goals, Lauren wants to represent Rice in the NCAA individual championships in the postseason."
Rice - Fall 2003: Opened her sophomore campaign by winning first six singles matches and winning the blue singles title of the Rice Tennis Classic... Named Western Athletic Conference player of the month for September... Advanced to the quarterfinals of the ITA Southwest Regional tournament as the number eight seed... Finished the fall with an 11-3 singles mark.
2002-03: Honored as the Western Athletic Conference freshman of the year... Named to the all-WAC first team in singles and the second team in doubles with partner Blair DiSesa... Finished the year with a team-best 20 singles victories... Notched an 8-3 record at the number two slot... With DiSesa, formed the Owls’ number one doubles team, recording nine wins... After starting her collegiate career 4-4, hit her stride at the ITA Southwest Regional Championships, advancing to the quarterfinals... Upset TCU’s Rosa Perez 6-1, 1-6, 6-2 in the round of 32 at regionals, then rallied back to defeat LSU’s Amanda Mang 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 in the round of 16... Finished the fall 8-5 in singles...
