SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to Louisville on Thursday afternoon at Aztec Tennis Center. With the loss, SDSU fell to 4-9 on the year and the Cardinals improved to 6-7 this season.

In doubles, Roxanne Ellison and Sierra Ellison notched an 8-7 victory against Gabrielle Duncan and Amelia Harris at number one doubles.

The Aztecs tallied two wins in singles, as Julia Wais defeated Julia Fellerhoff, 7-5, 6-2, at number one singles. Laura Antonana Iriarte, meanwhile, picked up a 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 victory at number three against Manuela Velasquez.

The Aztecs return to action March 24 when they face Colorado State in their Mountain West opener. The league match is slated to start at 12 p.m. PT.
