UT’s Chris Camillone and David Holiner win one of two doubles matches on day one at Olympia Fields.
OLYMPIA FIELDS, Ill. – Texas junior Chris Camillone and sophomore David Holiner collected a victory over Kentucky’s Ryuji Hirooka and Alejandro Gomez on the opening day of competition Friday at the Olympia Fields Invitational.
Camillone (Austin, Texas) and Holiner (Dallas, Texas) dealt the Kentucky tandem an 8-5 defeat in their second match of the day. Camillone and Holiner suffered an 8-3 defeat to Notre Dame’s Spencer Talmadge and Niall Fitzgerald Friday morning.
Junior Ben Chen and sophomore Sudanwa Sitaram suffered a pair of losses in their opening doubles matches. All four Longhorns will compete in singles action Friday afternoon, as will Soren Hess-Olesen, Daniel Whitehead, Jacoby Lewis and Alex Hilliard at the Racquet Club Collegiate Invitational in Midland, Texas.
