LOS ANGELES, Calif. --- No. 67 UC Irvine earned a big win over No. 55 Tulane Saturday afternoon in the initial day of the ITA Kickoff Classic at Marks Tennis Stadium.

The Anteaters (2-1) gutted out a tense stretch of singles with three-setters pending down the stretch. Sarah Gong's win from her No. 4 spot won it for UC Irvine, who topped Tulane 4-2 to move into tomorrow's final against USC -- a rematch of last week's season opener for the Trojans, who beat the Anteaters 7-0.

The match will begin at 1:00 p.m. and conclude the ITA Kickoff Classic.
