IRVINE, Calif. --- UCI women's tennis continued its success Monday afternoon with a 5-2 victory over the visiting Golden Eagles of Marquette at Anteater Tennis Stadium.

UCI (11-3, 3-0) scored the early doubles point with quick wins at Nos. 1 and 2. Marquette would take the third set to avoid the sweep.

In singles action, Marivick Mamiit set the tone with 6-0, 6-1 victory followed by straight-set wins from 125th-ranked Kristina Smith and Sarah Stadfelt to keep their streaks going. Ali Facey would come through with the fifth point for the Anteaters.

UCI now stands at 11-3 on the season and remains at home this week for a Wednesday matchup with the 58th-ranked Louisville Cardinals. The match starts at 1:30 p.m. at Anteater Tennis Stadium.
