MALIBU, Calif. --- UCI and Pepperdine took it down to the wire in their reschedule match on Sunday with the 65th-ranked Anteaters scoring the upset win, 4-3, Sunday afternoon at Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center.

UCI (4-3) took the doubles point after No. 1 Franziska Goettsching and Kristina Smith and No. 3 Ali Facey and Brooke Schweyer wrapped up their sets early to put UCI up 1-0 early.

Pepperdine (0-4) scored two early singles points to take the lead back as both of its ranked singles, No. 104 Lorraine Guillermo and No. 92 Khunpak Issara, earned straight-set wins.

The Anteaters volleyed the win back into their court with freshman wins from Sarah Gong and Sarah Stadfelt in straight sets.

The Waves' Ale Granillo would come from behind snatch a third-set victory to lock the match back up at 3-3.

Ali Facey scored her own comeback to clinch to upset victory for UCI, 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 to help the 'eaters steal a win on the road.

UCI is right back to work tomorrow Monday, February 11th as it welcomes No. 46 LSU to Anteater Tennis Stadium for a 1:30 p.m. match.
