The UTEP tennis team’s bid for a school-record-tying 16th win will have to wait, as the Miners’ match at NMSU-slated for a 4 p.m. start on Wednesday- has been cancelled due to high winds.
The contest will not be rescheduled, and now the Orange and Blue can turn their attention towards preparing for the Conference USA tournament. The league’s pinnacle event is set for April 16-19 and will be hosted by Rice University.
UTEP will enter the championships at 15-6 on the season, and with momentum on its side. The Miners have won two straight, four of their past five and six of eight.
