SKILLMAN, N.J. - The women's tennis team, due to its final ranking this season, will serve as one of the 15 hosts for the 2014 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Kick-Off Weekend, beginning Jan. 25. The Crimson Tide finished the season at No. 11 in the ITA Division I Women's Poll, which ties for the highest final ranking in program history.

A total of four teams will compete at each site, as Alabama, the No. 1 seed in Tuscaloosa, will be joined by Oklahoma, Mississippi and William & Mary, which are listed according to rank in the team draft.

Each team is guaranteed two matches, and the team that wins both of its matches will advance to the ITA National Team Indoor Championships, which will be held at the Boar's Head Tennis Club on the campus of the University of Virginia, Feb. 7-10.

Because ITA Kick-Off Weekend ultimately determines those that will advance to the indoor championships, all matches will be played in the Roberta Alison Baumgardner Tennis Facility.
