SKILLMAN, N.J. - The Crimson Tide women's tennis team enters the 2014 season ranked 12th in the nation in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association poll. In addition to being ranked as a team, Alabama has three singles players in the national standings as well as a pair of doubles teams.
Freshman Erin Routliffe begins her first dual match season at No. 68, while junior Emily Zabor stands at No. 69 and freshman Danielle Spielmann No. 76. In doubles, freshman Carmen Blanco and Zabor are ranked 44th and Routliffe and Spielmann 59th.
The Tide will play one additional tournament, which will take place at Northwestern Jan. 17-19, before hosting William & Mary in the opening match of ITA Kick-Off Weekend on Jan. 25, at 10 a.m. CT.
