NASHVILLE – No. 54 Ole Miss collected wins in four of the six singles matches to rally past 13th-ranked Vanderbilt, 5-2, Sunday afternoon at the Currey Tennis Center.

The Commodores fell to 11-6 overall and 4-2 in SEC action, while Ole Miss improved to 4-8 overall and 2-4 in the conference.

Vanderbilt took a 1-0 lead into singles play after winning the doubles point on courts one and three. At No. 1 doubles, Ashleigh Antal and Marie Casares took care of Caroline Rohde-Moe and Marija Milutinovic, 8-5. To clinch the doubles point, Frances Altick and Georgina Sellyn defeated Vief Vlaar and Mai El Kamash at the No. 3 spot, 8-5.

Antal made quick work of her opponent in singles play at No. 5. The Wilmington, N.C., native defeated Milutinovic, 6-1, 6-0. Antal is now 6-0 in SEC play this season and 13-1 in dual play.

However, Ole Miss would then proceed to win the remaining five singles matches.

At No. 1 singles, Rohde-Moe defeated Lauren Mira in straight sets, 6-3, 6-0. In the No. 2 position, Julia Jones knocked off Casares, 6-4, 6-1. El Kamash defeated Colton, 6-4, 7-5, in the No. 3 spot. Erin Stephens recorded a win at No. 4 over Sellyn, 7-5, 6-0, handing Sellyn her first loss in the conference season. Vlaar rounded out the match with a win in No. 6 singles over Altick, 6-2, 6-4. The loss for Altick was also her first of the SEC season, while also snapping her eight-match win streak.

Vanderbilt begins a five-match road trip with stops at No. 12 Georgia Friday, March 22 at 3 p.m. and No. 44 Tennessee Sunday at 9 a.m.
