Laie, HI- The Brigham Young University-Hawaii women’s tennis team defeated University of Hawaii-Hilo this afternoon 7-2 on the BYU-Hawaii tennis courts, to improve to 21-0 overall this season.  The Seasiders picked up four wins in singles and all three wins in doubles play.

Yuan Jia won 6-1, 6-1 in the number one singles spot to lead the Seasiders.  Annie Hwang won 6-2, 6-0 in the second singles position and Salina Aranda earned a 6-3, 6-4 decision to win the third singles spot.  Sasha Ulbrichtova breezed to a win in number five singles 6-0, 6-0.

Elwen Li and Jia combined to win 8-1 in the number one spot in doubles play.  Hwang and Porter followed and won 8-2 in the second position and Aranda and Ulbrichtova scored 8-1 to secure the win for the Seasiders.

The Seasiders’ next action will be Monday March 28 against College of Idaho in Laie, Hawaii at 2:00 pm.
