BYU Hawaii vs. Metro State and Academy of Art

Glendale, AZ—The Brigham Young University Hawaii’s women’s tennis team picked up two more wins today in Arizona.  The second-ranked Seasiders defeated Metro State 8-1 to start the day and followed that up with a 9-0 win over Academy of Art later in the day.

The Seasiders won two of the three doubles matches against Metro State and then swept all six singles matches handily.  Marietta Tuionetoa and Tanja Rebholz earned 6-0, 6-0 wins at the second and third singles slots and Annie Hwang and partner Sherry Liu earned an 8-0 win at number one doubles for BYU-Hawaii.

Against Academy of Art the Seasiders swept the doubles matches easily including an 8-0 win at number three by Rebholz and Marika Kobayashi.  BYU-Hawaii swept the six singles matches in straight sets to improve to 4-0 as a team this season.

BYU-Hawaii will play twice again tomorrow in Glendale, Arizona.  The Seasiders will face Sonoma State at 9:30 am MST and Dixie State at 6:30 pm.
