RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- The NAIA’s No. 7-ranked California Baptist University put together its most complete match of the season, sweeping through Biola, 9-0, Saturday afternoon at the Pentz Tennis Center.

The Lancers improve to 6-4 overall, 4-2 GSAC. The Eagles fall to 1-7, 0-7.

Playing singles first, the Lancers rolled to a quick victory, winning all six matches in straight sets. Aurelie Hascoet defeated Marisa Flores, 6-2, 6-1, at No. 4 to clinch the match. The Lancers won both No. 5 (Dunya Wren) and No. 6 (Jessica Roddy) by 6-0, 6-0 scores.

Maddy Nelson and Larissa Naples, making her first appearance of the season, put the finishing touches on the sweep with an 8-6 win over Danielle Calbeck and Nicholle Johnston at No. 3 doubles.

"The girls did an all-around fantastic job today,” said CBU Head Coach Chris Taylor. “Raquel continues to impress me at No. 1 sinlges, and I am very proud of how Maddy and Larissa stepped in at No. 3 doubles to finish the match.”
