BOCA RATON, Fla. -- The Florida Atlantic University men's tennis team swept all doubles and singles matches for the first time this season in picking up a commanding 7-0 victory over Kennesaw State University on Tuesday at Patch Reef Park in Boca Raton.

The Owls, now 6-3 on the season, extended their winning streak to a season-high three matches and now have won five of the last six matches. Kennesaw State drops to 5-9 on the spring dual match season.

Senior Lawrence Harradine dropped just one game in cruising to a victory at No. 1 singles. The Barcelona, Spain also picked up an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles with freshman Georg Matschke.

"This was a good match because I could be aggressive and go for my shots," said Harradine. "After winning the past matches (also over Buffalo on Sunday) have showed that I can play at that No. 1 level."

Other victories were recorded by junior Ervin Garibovic, winning in three sets at No. 2 singles; junior Joshua Scholl, with a 6-3, 6-3 triumph at No. 3 singles; freshman Matthew Braunworth, who won two set tiebreakers by an 8-6 score at No. 5 singles, and Matschke, with a 6-4, 6-3 victory at No. 6.

In between, sophomore Derek Madon kept the winning rolling with a 6-3, 6-4 victory at No. 4 singles. Being successful on first serves and staying focus were the key to the win.

"The energy among our players was fantastic," Madon said. "We could hear how successful each other was being in their match and fed off that energy."

Garibovic showcased his competitiveness in his match, fighting back after dropping the opening set 6-4 to win the second frame by that same 6-4 score. Then, the junior found himself trailing 5-2 in a third set tiebreaker before coming back to win the match by winning the last five points.

The Owls picked up the doubles point by sweeping all three matches.

FAU returns to the court on Wednesday, March 10 against Southern Illinois University. The match is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. from Patch Reef Park.
