J.C. Smith beats Fayetteville State 5-4

The Johnson C. Smith Golden Bulls (3-1,4-1,6-10 ) remained in second place in the CIAA Western Divison with a 5-4 win over Fayetteville State Tuesday.
Cameron Chatman, Rolanda Sue and Tyra Breaux all won singles to set up the win.
Earlier the Bulls lost the number one doubles as Ines Nieves (FSU) and Kristian Tapassi (FSU) defeated Chatman and Jae Hargett 8-6. But the Bulls won at number two with Brittany Laws and Sue defeating Samantha Meeks and Chekembull Jefferson 8-5 and Breaux amd Melissa Shuler defeated Fatimah Patterson and Lindsey Dean 8-3.
The Bulls next play at Bowie State University on Friday.
