Tyra Breaux won a tough three set match against Jamine McNair of Bowie State to propel the Johnson C. Smith Golden Bulls women's team to a 5-4 win Friday.

Breaux won 7-6 (5), 6-7 (4), 6-2 with the score tied at four all.

Earlier freshman sensation Cameron Chatman had won her 13th match at number one singles 6-0,6-0 over Bowie's Danielle Fields. Chatman's record on the season i 13-2.

She had also teamed with Jae Hargett to win number one doubles 8-0 over Danielle Fields and Lydia Mahon.

Then down by one  at 1-2 the Golden Bulls (3-1,5-1,7-10) went to work with Jae Hargett winning 6-0,6-2 at two and Brittany Laws winning 6-2,6-1 at three.

The Golden Bulls in the middle of a road trip play next at Virginia Union after Saturday's match with Lincoln was canceled due to rainy weather.
