The Pearl River Lady Wildcats Tennis Team swept the Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs Saturday, February 27, 2010, in Poplarville for a 9-0 victory.

In doubles, Kasey King of Purvis, Mississippi, and Janae Norwood of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, defeated Holmes's Kayla Perry and Taylor Morgan at the number one position 8-6.  In singles, at number one, King defeated Holmes's Jennifer Holland 6-0, 6-1; at number two, Norwood defeated Perry 7-5, 6-4; and at number three, Alyssa Wolfe of Foxworth, Mississippi, defeated Holmes's Morgan 6-1, 6-1.  The Lady Bulldogs were short three team members resulting is default wins for the Lady Wildcats at number two and three doubles and at numbers four, five, and six singles.

The Pearl River Lady Wildcats will be in Biloxi on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, to take on the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Lady Bulldogs at the Biloxi Tennis Complex at 12:00 p.m.  They will be back home on Wednesday, March 3, 2010, to play the Lady Wolves of Copiah Lincoln Community College at 1:00 p.m.
