CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Mia Drobnjak and Hannah Crawford of the Radford women’s tennis team received Big South weekly honors for matches played March 5-11. Drobnjak was named Player of the Week, while Crawford was selected Freshman of the Week, as announced by the league office Tuesday.
 
Along with finishing 4-0 in singles play at the No. 3 position, Drobnjak teamed with Taylor Newman to go 3-1 in double matches. This is Drobnjak’s first player of the week honor this season.
 
Collecting her second Big South Freshman of the Week nod of 2012, Crawford posted a 3-1 singles record on court two, while helping the Highlanders go 4-0 during Spring Break. In addition to her outstanding singles play, Crawford and fellow freshman Meg Napolitano went 4-0 in doubles.
 
The Highlanders, who are 10-4 on the season, travel to James Madison on Friday for a 3:30pm dual.
