Nevada Men Move Up in Rankings to 61 in the Nation

RENO, Nev. - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association, the governing body of intercollegiate tennis, ranked the University of Nevada men’s tennis team No. 61 in the nation Tuesday. It the third consecutive week the Wolf Pack has been ranked by the ITA.

The Wolf Pack (10-3, 1-0 Western Athletic Conference) is coming off a victorious three-match sweep at home last weekend over Gonzaga, Saint Mary’s and Montana, respectively. Ranked No. 64 last week, Nevada is off to its best start since the 2006-07 season.

The Wolf Pack has improved its singles matches, posting a aggregate 74-42 (.638) record overall in that category this season.

Nevada is also 5-0 when playing home at Lakeridge Tennis Club, the best start since the 2006-07 season.

Other WAC teams in the ITA ranking are Boise State (No. 23), Fresno State (No. 40) and Hawai`i (No. 63).

The Wolf Pack has a bye this weekend and will conclude its home schedule next weekend in against WAC opponents New Mexico State and Boise State.
