Longhorns will occupy all four singles and doubles finals spots at TCU’s Southwest Shootout.
FORT WORTH, Texas – Texas went unbeaten in the semifinals of the main singles and doubles draws and claimed all four finals berths Saturday on day two of the Southwest Shootout at TCU’s Friedman Tennis Center.
Freshman Soren Hess-Olesen continued his solid fall campaign with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Texas Tech’s Rafael Garcia. In Sunday’s finals, he will meet teammate Daniel Whitehead, a 6-3, 6-4 winner of TCU’s Nick Chappell in the semifinals.
Whitehead and classmate Ben Chen will take on Hess-Olesen and junior Alex Hilliard in Sunday’s doubles final after both teams recorded victories in the doubles semifinals.
