SAN LUIS OBISPO – Precipitation continued to wreak havoc on the Cal Poly women’s tennis team’s schedule as the program’s stay at the California Winter Invitational in Berkeley – already shortened from a three-day tournament to Jan. 23 and 24 – was cancelled altogether early Saturday afternoon. 

California has no plans to reschedule the event. 

The Mustangs, who opened their 2010 spring schedule on Jan. 14 with a 7-0 victory against Cal State Bakersfield, have already rescheduled dual events at No. 40 Pepperdine and No. 12 UCLA. The Mustangs, originally scheduled to face Pepperdine on Jan. 18 in Malibu, will instead battle the Waves on Wednesday, March 31 at 1:30 p.m. Cal Poly’s date at UCLA has been moved from Jan. 19 to Sunday, Feb. 21 at 12 noon.

The Mustangs return home to host Santa Clara on Saturday, Feb. 6 at 11 a.m.
