Men's Tennis Mean to Big Green

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana men's tennis (3-5) knocked off No. 49 Dartmouth (1-3) by a 6-1 score on Sunday. The Hoosiers won the doubles point and got straight set wins at 1, 2, 3 and 4 singles.

In doubles, the Hoosiers took the point with wins at one and three. Isade Juneau and Sam Monette took down Xander Centenari and Brandon DeBot 8-6. Chris Essick and Dimitrije Tasic clinched the point with a 9-7 win over Alex de Chatellus and Erik Nordahl at three.

In singles play, Juneau was the first to finish in singles play, taking down Cameron Ghorbani 6-3, 6-1 at number one. Monette was the next to finish, beating Centenari 6-4, 6-2 at number two. Tasic closed out the team victory with a 6-0, 6-4 win at number four over Nordahl. Daniel Bednarczyk added a win at number five, 6-0, 7-5, and Josh MacTaggart won at number three 6-3, 0-6, 6-3 over Chris Kipouras, making it 6-0 for the Hoosiers.

The match at number six was tight throughout. Sam Todd took the first set in a tiebreaker over Essick. Essick rallied back to win the second 6-3, but Todd was able to recover a tight third set to win 7-6, 3-6, 7-5.
