Florida Atlantic University's women's tennis team dropped a match against in-state and Sun Belt Conference foe FIU 7-0, Thursday.
FIU faced FAU at ithe Owls home court Patch Reef Tennis Center and captured the doubles point and then swept the singles matches.
Singles play was highlighted for FAU by the long match at no. 2 singles. Dominique Wimmer came back from being down down 5-0 to capture the next three games. She then saw Priscilla Castillo take the next game and the match.
FAU will next face first year Head Coach Marcy Hora-Cava's alma mater in the University of Miami, noon Saturday at UM.
