Emma Rossiter defeated Samantha Noble at no. 4 singles to lead Florida Atlantic University to a 4-3 victory over the visiting Duquesne, Monday.
FAU dropped the doubles point despite Emma Rossiter and Cassie Bergeson’s victory at no. 3 doubles.
The two teams moved into singles play only to see Duquesne quickly take a 2-0 advantage.
Senior Danielle Simone picked up the first point for the Owls with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Alex Albano at no. 5. Freshman Erika Mrazkova followed with a 6-2, 6-3 win at no. 2 singles to even the match at two.
FAU Natalia Totevska picked up her fifth singles match of the season and gave FAU its first lead of the match with a 6-4, 6-3 effort.
Emma Rossiter then clinched the match and saw the Owls improve to 4-8 on the year while Rossiter’s doubles mate Cassie Bergeson finished out her singles match with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 loss to round out the match score.Doubles
