GREENSBORO, N.C. – Senior Jay Weinacker was named to the All-ACC team as released by the Atlantic Coast Conference on Thursday, April 16. This is the second straight year Weinacker earned the honor as the NC State men’s tennis team prepares to compete against Georgia Tech in the ACC Tournament today in Cary, N.C.

Weinacker went 7-4 in ACC play this season at the top-singles spot, and started conference play 6-0. Four of his wins came over higher-ranked opponents, including players from North Carolina, Duke, Georgia Tech, and Virginia. Overall this season, Weinacker is 14-8, and he was named ACC Player of the Week on January 20. In his career, Weinacker has gone 30-15 in ACC singles play.

Weinacker currently has 104 career singles victories and is ranked 37th in the nation. He also has 85 career doubles wins, including 16 this season with partner Jaime Pulgar and becoming only the seventh duo in Pack history to reach that mark.
