Wildcats Lose Player and fall to Jones

The Pearl River Wildcats fell to the Jones County Bobcats for the second loss of the season. This loss following the change in line-up due to Blake Johnson, who played position No.1 in singles and doubles, leaving the team.
 
In doubles, Steven Bracey of Columbia and Roy Odom of Gautier teamed up for the No.1 spot, but fell to Cade Sherman and Dalton Delk 8-1. Jordan Henry of Petal and Darnelle Sanford of Hattiesburg remained the No.2 team but also fell 8-1 to Tyler Shows and Eric Lynn. At the No.3 position, Dustin Slade of Waveland and Ross Lee of Lumberton teamed up to claim the first point of the day for the Wildcats, defeating Armand Deniakos and Cody Kadoun in a close battle 9-7.
 
In singles, Bracey stepped into the No.1 position and was able to play a tight match with Sherman but was defeated 6-2, 7-6; at No.2 Henry fell to Deniakos 6-0, 6-1; at No.3 Sanford was defeated by Shows 6-0, 6-0; at No.4 Odom lost to Lynn 6-0, 6-1; at No.5 Slade claimed the final point for the Wildcats defeating Kadoun 6-7(5), 6-2, 10-4; at No.6, Lee fell to delk 6-0, 6-0.
 
The Pearl River Wildcats will be back in action on March 23, when they travel to Forest to play the East Central Community College Warriors at Gadis Park at noon.
