Ducks Fall at Cal Poly, 5-2

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - The Oregon women's tennis team dropped a 5-3 decision in a late season non-conference match at Cal Poly on Thursday afternoon. It was the regular season finale for the Mustangs as they finish the 2009 season with a 12-8 record; Oregon falls to 9-10 this year.

The Ducks took one match in the doubles session but took two singles matches. Highlights included Carmen Seremeta's 6-3, 6-3 victory over No. 72 ranked Brittany Blalock at No. 1 singles and Trudie du Toit's 6-0, 6-4 win at No. 6 singles.

Cal Poly used two three-set wins to put away the Ducks at No. 2 and No. 3 singles. The Mustangs' 3-6, 7-5, 6-0 win at No. 2 singles clinched the duals victory.

Oregon will get back into Pac-10 play this weekend with matches at Stanford and Cal.
