Oregon Drops Season Finale at Washington

SEATTLE, Wash. - The No. 64 ranked Oregon women's tennis team dropped their 2009 season finale on the road against No. 30 ranked Washington, 6-1. The Ducks finish the year with a record of 9-13, 1-7 Pac-10.

Oregon's lone point on the day came at No. 6 singles where freshman Trudie du Toit rallied from a 6-0 loss in the opening set to win in a third set tiebreaker, 0-6, 7-5, (10-4). Oregon was swept in the doubles portion of the dual, including Oregon's No. 70 ranked doubles team of Ana Cecilia Olivos and Carmen Seremeta falling to Washington's No. 36 ranked tandem of Joyce Ardies and Denise Dy.

The Ducks will conclude the 2009 season in the Pac-10 Championships next weekend in Ojai, Calif.
